What We Do

Our primary purpose is to provide AmTryke® adaptive tricycles to children who are otherwise unable to ride a regular bike.  In order to foster our mission, ENC Ambucs raises funds to purchase AmTryke adaptive tricycles for children with disabilities across Eastern North Carolina.  Local volunteers consisting of physical and occupational therapists evaluate each child in order to ensure their AmTryke is the perfect fit.

Amtrykes

For children with disabilities, a tricycle can be a wonderful tool that is fun and helpful in promoting gross motor skill development, endurance and strength needed for independent upright mobility.

The AmTryke therapeutic tricycle is an adaptive tricycle for children of all ages and sizes with special needs. The components of the AmTryke can be easily adjusted to comfortably fit a variety of children. This is a great feature for the growing child and even for use with multiple children with special needs in therapy clinics or schools.

The AmTryke adaptive tricycle is one of the most functional and easy-to-use tricycles available. The dynamic system gives children who have been unable to ride a tricycle due to strength, balance, learning, coordination or any related deficit a chance to ride a bicycle.
